Her name is inextricably connected with the advent of the long feature film and the introduction of the star system: Asta Nielsen. From 27 to 29 September, international film historians and researchers will discuss the various modes of distribution, exhibition, appropriation, and reception of the first female star to receive international attention. The conference is hosted by the Deutsches Filminstitut in Frankfurt/Germany and curated by Martin Loiperdinger (University of Trier).
Conference fees: 30 Euro (3 days), 15 Euro (1 day). Fees for students will be students 15 Euro and 7,50 Euro respectively.
