The organizers of the FIAF Congress 2022, which will take place in Budapest, Hungary from 24-29 April 2022, have issued a Call for Papers for the FIAF Symposium entitled "The Visible Archive: Archiving, preserving, digitizing, and sharing 'non-feature' film collections".

On the occasion of this year's World Day for Audiovisual Heritage we are excited to announce a new thematic collection on EFG focusing on reconstruction efforts after WWII in Europe, particularly in the Czech Republic, France, Germany and Italy. This collection is one of the results of the EU-funded research project "VICTOR-E: Visual Culture of Trauma, Obliteration and Reconstruction in Post-WW II Europe".
The international research project "VICTOR-E - Visual Culture of Trauma, Obliteration and Reconstruction in Post-WW II Europe" that explores how audiovisual representations of public spaces – and particularly the documentation of war damage and of reconstruction efforts –, shaped the politics, policies and polities of post-WW II Europe, will hold its final conference "The Reconstruction of Post-World-War II Europe through the Visual Arts" from 20 - 22 April 2022 in Paris. The Call for papers is out now.
Since late June this year, Arxiu del So i de la Imatge de Mallorca (ASIM) present almost 100 films from their extensive collections documenting the history and intra-history, heritage and ethnography of the island.
As an aggregator of Europeana, the European Film Gateway will be represented at the Europeana Aggregators’ Fair that takes place on 16 and 17 June 2021 online.
