  • Description: The life of a man who has idolized the Charioteer of Delphi, during the 50 years from 1941 to 1991. A student during World War II, he is arrested by the Italians and sent to prison. From there he escapes and finds refuge in the mountains, where he joins a resistance group. He receives his baptism by fire in a battle against the Germans, who had burned down a whole village, and witnesses the killing of several prisoners. The man goes through those turbulent times –the Resistance and the horrors of Civil War– without ever losing his personal view of the events, holding the reins of his life’s chariot as firmly as ever.
