Aprašymas:The film is an important document because it shows E.Thomopoulos ((1878-1976) live painting, while we hear him providing a lot of biographical details. We see him in his atelier, sporting a beret and bow tie, but also in nature, in a suit and bowler hat. The viewer has the opportunity to look at a substantial number of his works, emanating an impressionist disposition. Looking at his works, one has the feeling that the poetry of painting eases the pressure on the people who toil long hours harvesting and ploughing the fields. Strict realism, lyricism and simplicity characterize the painter's work, who even at the age of 96 – he was that old when the film was made – carries on painting.
